I've been following Amy's Quilt Along the past three weeks. Here are my next two blocks for the sampler quilt.
The one on the left is called two by three and reminds of how a rail fence block goes together. I really like the way it looks. I could see it being used on very large scale for a simple quilt. The block of the right is a snowball type block. I was very nervous about patching with triangles but Amy made it easy and talked me through it well. I'm not so afraid of them now, but they still aren't my favorite shape to work with. 
It is hard to tell in this picture, but the snowball block's fabric is navy blue with white dots.

The new blocks look great! I love the blue polka dot. It stands out so well on the white!

ReplyDeleteLove your blocks! Great combinations in the 2x3 & I really like the lighter fabrics and then the navy polk-a-dot as a dark contrast!
